What is HEMA and why should I avoid it?
HEMA (Hydroxyethyl Methacrylate) Is a common ingredient in gel nail poilish. It is a monomer (a small molecule that can be polymerized to form a larger, more complex structure), when a monomer gets into contact with your skin it is easily absorbed into the pores making a quicker entrance into the system. HEMA has been known to cause allergies such as Skin Sensitization, Eye Irritation, Respiratory Issues, Toxicity: While HEMA isn't highly toxic in small quantities, long-term exposure, particularly in high doses, could have moreserious health effects.
What is TPO?
TPO (Tert-Butyl Peroxide) in gel nail polish is a photoinitiator that helps the polish harden under UV light. While it's generally considered safe, it can cause skin irritation or allergic reactions in some individuals. If you experience any side affects such as but not limited to skin irritation, nail lifting or respiratory irritation then it is best avoid this ingredient.
Is Glazed Vegan & Animal Friendly?
Yes !! Our polishes contain no animal-derived ingredients (Vegan) and are nevertested on animals (Cruelty-free). We believe in beauty without harm, ensuring that our products align with ethical and sustainable standards.
What should I do if I get a reaction from using HEMA products?
Stop using HEMA products immediately, depending on your side effects seek medical attention. Avoid using HEMA products for as long as possible. Switch to Glazed gel co for a product you can rely on.
